Rob believes the best way to create jobs is to promote a business-friendly climate where private employers can thrive and grow. Rob opposes needless and expensive over-regulation of Virginia companies, and has earned the support of both the National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB) and the Virginia Chamber of Commerce. He opposes tax increases that would make Virginia less competitive with other states.
As a Delegate, Rob voted to eliminate the Virginia death tax so that farmers and small business owners can pass on their legacies to their children. He has voted to protect Virginia’s right-to-work law, which helps keep Virginia attractive to new employers.
Rob also supports farmer’s markets and rural Virginians. In 2020, he patroned a law to reduce taxes on small vendors at farmer’s markets.
Rob has also voted for measures to make it easier to expand broadband in Virginia. In 2020, he supported a law to make it easier for broadband providers to share existing utility easements and another to enable consumer broadband to piggyback on the expansion of the electrical smart-grid.
Rob has been repeatedly recognized for his advocacy.
